Heidelberg Offers New Digimaster 9110cp Print System for the Commercial Print Market

Digimaster 9110cp digital monochrome press can be easily integrated into Heidelberg Prinect MetaDimension Workflow

Heidelberg is now offering the new Digimaster 9110cp (cp=commercial print) monochrome press to help commercial printers build a produc- tive, profitable digital business.

Available in May 2003, the newest member of Heidelberg's family of Digimaster products is designed to address the specific requirements of commercial printers in handling demanding digital, high-volume black-and-white print jobs. The Digimaster 9110cp press offers specific enhance- ments for the commercial print market.

• Enhanced paper handling. The press can print a wider range of substrate and paper sizes including up 14 by 18 inch sheets. This extended range of paper sizes is also available in the Digimaster 9110cp Inserter and Paper Supply Module.
• Improved workflow. The new Digimaster 9110cp press easily integrates with Heidelberg Prinect MetaDimension software, enabling commercial printers to use one workflow for both offset and digital print workflows.
• Greater productivity. Heidelberg's enhanced maintenance service option is available with Digimaster 9110cp press, enabling on-site personnel to perform some maintenance and to replace some parts, increasing machine uptime.
• Enhanced image quality. Users have greater control to lighten and darken half-tone images.

"With the introduction of the new Digimaster 9110cp system, we are giving commercial printers a machine that not only boosts their productivity in monochrome digital printing, but more importantly, helps them build a profitable digital business as a result."

Like the Digimaster 9110 Network Imaging System, the Digimaster 9110cp monochrome press delivers a resolution of 600x600 dpi and employs small-particle developer and enhanced technology to deliver high-quality docu- ments with sharper text, crisper halftones and richer graphics. It can also be configured with a range of input and finishing devices, including Imagedirect 665 Production Scanner, ImageSmart software, roll feeders, post-process inserter, booklet maker, perfect binder, hole puncher and stacker.

Heidelberg developed the new digital system, which will be available through Heidelberg market centers in Europe, the U.S. and Canada. The Digimaster 9110cp press comes pre-loaded with the Digimaster 9110 system software, along with a customized commercial print application package offering additional productivity.
