Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 Wins Top Award From BERTL

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG: Digimaster 9110

A world-leading independent testing laboratory has recog- nized the Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 network imaging system with its highest award.

Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratory (BERTL) has awarded the Digimaster 9110 its "Five Star Exceptional" award, calling it an outstanding product that sets a new industry benchmark.

The Digimaster is designed to meet the workflow needs of on-demand printing and duplicating. The system enables 110-page per minute black-and-white printing and employs an open architecture that is easily integrated into networks. It prints stored document or image files, scanned hard copy and data print streams. Customers can employ the system to easily produce manuals, booklets and other frequently revised publications, as well as customized documents, such as financial reports and brochures.

"As competition heats up in this highly lucrative sector of the market, (Heidelberg's) achievement creates a benchmark by which other competitors products will be measured," says Mark Nadell, director of testing at BERTL. "If one company can offer a product as polished as this, buyers are going to be demanding similar levels of excellence when they look at alternative systems."

"During its first year on the market, the Digimaster 9110 has been highly popular with high-volume, on-demand customers - far exceeding sales expectations," said Wolfgang Pfizenmaier, Heidelberg Digital CEO. "We're proud that our product continues to garner recognition from the industry's top experts as well, such as this top award from BERTL."

One of the world's leading independent digital test laboratories, BERTL tests an average of 250 digital document imaging systems every year. It is headquartered in England, with additional offices in the U.S.
