At drupa 2004, which takes place from May 6 to 19 in
Düsseldorf, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will
be presenting more than 50 innovations in workflow, prepress, press
and postpress in Halls 1 and 2 on an area of approximately 7800
square meters. The drupa motto "Created with Passion - Made
for Success" reflects Heidelberg's approach to the
world's largest industry event. "Customer benefits and
performance potential" are the central messages in
Heidelberg's trade show concept. The solutions presented at the
trade show are divided into five customer-specific sectors -
Industrial Print, Commercial Print, Packaging, Variable Data Print
and Commercial Web - with additional application centers. The
Heidelberg workflow solutions will be presented in a separate
Prinect Center and in the Heidelberg Forum according to the
application. The Heidelberg Forum will feature presentations by the
Print Media Academy (PMA), the Environmental Center, and others.
"Heidelberg has focused its trade show presence on
customer benefits. As a solution provider, we have put the emphasis
on applications which safeguard and enhance the competitiveness of
our customers. All in all, the presentation has been tailored in
particular to the needs of smaller and midrange printshops",
explains Dr. Klaus Spiegel, Member of Heidelberg's Management
Board.
The central and integrating element of Heidelberg's trade
show presence is the presentation of the "Prinect"
networking workflow package. Using a whole raft of innovations and
further developments, the company will demonstrate the benefits of
networking within a printshop and the advantages to customers
offered by JDF-compatible standard interfaces.
"At drupa 2004, Heidelberg will be presenting
intelligent workflow solutions. All the presentations will focus on
the possibilities for improving the transparency of workflows and
costs and for enhancing process reliability in printshops. The key
to achieving this is networking with the Job Definition Format
(JDF), which has become the new industry standard thanks to the
commitment of CIP4", continues Spiegel.
Another key element in Heidelberg's presence at drupa is
the presentation of new solutions for offset printing. For example,
drupa 2004 will see the unveiling of the productivity and quality
innovations of the new Speedmaster SM/CD 102 generation with
high-stability feeder and delivery and new design.
"At drupa 2004, Heidelberg will be introducing more than
50 innovations in a wide range of products and product sectors.
This emphasizes Heidelberg's position as the leading innovator
in the print media industry", concludes Spiegel.
