Heidelberg exhibits complete digital workflow - unveiling of new
database solution and extended Color Open functions
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will be
presenting digital solutions for the graphic arts industry from
February 24 to March 1 at CeBIT 2000 in Hanover.
Heidelberg's Digimaster 9110 digital black/white press will be
on display in Hall 1, Stand 4c1, allowing visitors to see how it is
integrated into the digital workflow. Heidelberg will also be
presenting the new database solution Jetbase which will improve
links between agencies, advertising departments and prepress
businesses. It will also be exhibiting new functions for the Color
Open software and for the first time the Colorcam digital camera
back and the newly developed LinoColor Cam software.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to see a number of
digital solutions. These include the highly successful Prinergy
workflow management system. 30 systems were already in full
production by the end of 1999. A further 100 orders have also been
received from a whole spectrum of businesses in the graphic arts
industry. This solution will be augmented by Version 6.0 of Delta
Technology released at the end of 1999. This will ensure a direct
connection to the Prinergy workflow management system from
Heidelberg and Creo. Other exhibits will include image digitization
using the new Nexscan F4000 scanner and redigitization for
importing data from screened originals into the digital workflow.
The data is output via a digital offset printing machine Heidelberg
Quickmaster DI 46-4.
Visitors to Hall 8, Stand c36, will be able to see a number
of exciting scanner solutions from Heidelberg. These range from the
Linoscan F2400 XL entry-level scanner to the high-end Tango XL.
Heidelberg will also be revamping all the scanner systems in its
Gem series (Jade2, Opal Ultra, Saphir Ultra2) for inclusion in the
Linoscan series and will be unveiling the new models for the first
time at CeBIT. The exhibits in Hall 8 will also include fonts from
Linotype Library. Initial results from the cooperation agreement
with WAM!NET will also be on display.
