Ten-year graphs with company performance indicators for the
economy, environment and social responsibility now on the Internet
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) published its
Sustainability Report for financial year 2004/2005 at the end of
July with a new concept. The world's leading solution provider
for the print media industry gives details on a mix of topics
covering the economy, environment and social responsibility in an
18-page magazine-style report.
In economic terms, the Heidelberg Group has achieved a
turnaround in earnings, recording net profit of 61 million
Euro in the past financial year. "The figures prove that the
restructuring of the Heidelberg Group has been successful,"
said Bernhard Schreier, CEO at Heidelberg. "The concentration
on sheetfed offset and associated processes ranging from print data
input to the finished print product has put our company back on
course."
Key elements in the new report include a forecast on the
future development of the print media industry, international
customer portraits, the importance of environmentally friendly
print production and two features on international social projects.
The publication can be used as a basis for an open and critical
dialog with stakeholders on questions of sustainability at
Heidelberg and shows the ways in which Heidelberg is able to
accommodate and reconcile needs and opportunities in relation to
sustainability.
This is the first year that the up-to-the-minute data section
featuring all relevant key figures and site data can only be
accessed online. The ten-year graphs with company performance
data for the economy, environment and social responsibility are
