Change in Management Board at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG

Kaliebe follows Meyer as Chief Financial Officer

During its latest meeting, the Supervisory Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) appointed Dirk Kaliebe (40) as a regular member of the Management Board and CFO of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. The appointment will take effect as of October 1, 2006.

Mr. Kaliebe will succeed Dr. Herbert Meyer, who will be leaving the Company at the end of September 2006, having reached the age of 60 and the end of his Management Board contract after 12 years as CFO at Heidelberg. Dr. Meyer will continue to support Heidelberg in a consultancy role, for example, as a Heidelberg representative on the Board of Goss International Incorporated. Dr. Meyer will assume a new cross-company managerial role outside the Heidelberg Group next year.

Dirk Kaliebe was born on April 26, 1966 in Berlin. The business graduate studied auditing and international taxation at the University of Cologne. He qualified as an accountant in 1997 and a certified public accountant in 1999. From 1992 to 1998 he worked at auditors and consultants BDO Deutsche Warentreuhand AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.

Until 1995 his work at the company focused on auditing and company valuations, subsequently his main duties were in M&A and corporate finance. He has been working for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG since October 1, 1998 and has been responsible for Accounting & Taxes at Heidelberg since September 1, 1999. In July 2000, he also took over Investor Relations.
