Heidelberg Continues Focusing Its Prepress Business in Kiel

04/26/2002

Kiel remains major production site

Hell Gravure Systems GmbH is given a new
corporate structure

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will sell its majority interest in the Hell Gravure Systems GmbH. The shares will go to BR Gravure Beteiligungs GmbH, a company founded by the previous managing director of Hell Gravure Systems, Siegfried Beißwenger, and his associate partner Max Rid. With this step, Heidelberg continues to focus its product portfolio in the prepress business as already announced in a press release last week.

Hell Gravure Systems GmbH was founded in the course of the 1996 acquisition of Linotype-Hell AG by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. At last, the world market leader of solutions for the entire printing and media industry held 75 percent of the Hell Gravure shares.
