Print 01 Overshadowed by Terrorist Attacks in the USA |

The cowardly terrorist attacks that took place yesterday in New York, Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh have shocked all employees of Heidelberg deeply. Today work at all European Heidelberg sites will cease for five minutes at 10 a.m., with the time being spent in quiet contemplation of the victims and their families.
Following the terrible attacks, Print 01 in Chicago, USA, the most important fair of the graphic arts industry this year, has continued, but the events of the last few days have made it impossible to maintain the normal running of the exhibition.
Order levels including September 11 had reached just over 245 million US-Dollar. "We are presently following the development of the current situation in the United States and its economical consequences. As soon as we have analyzed the possible impact on Heidelberg we will give you further information." announced Berhard Schreier, Chairman of the Management Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.
