Heidelberg - Where Careers Can Start |

Werner Hapke, Product Engineer
After finishing university and graduating in plant and equipment production engineering I actually had completely different plans. Another company had already offered me a job. But then I went through the job offers again and an ad from Heidelberg attracted my attention. The great thing about Heidelberg is that you can find the full scope of the print world here, including software. The wide range of products means that there is a wide range of opportunities.
My experience after two and a half years as a project engineer at Heidelberg is that the staff here work really effectively on developing processes and solutions, and it's simply great fun to be part of it. You quickly get to know different departments and staff members through the teamwork structure and can also benefit from different ways of thinking.

| Procurement / Logistics |
When I walked through Heidelberg's two exhibition halls at Drupa, the world's biggest print media trade fair, I was really impressed. Heidelberg presented itself as the world market leader for printing solutions and I was really proud to be a part of this impressive entity.
The goals that I had set myself at the beginning and regularly discussed with my superiors in staff dialog meetings were supported by defined development stages and specific measures. Then came the next step. Due to my previous work I was offered a new challenge and took on the responsibility of managing the control system / logistics of a production hall.
Here, once again, you have to achieve set goals. Yet with the experience I have gained so far and the support I have received, I feel very confident about my future at Heidelberg.

Global, Regional, Local
Heidelberg's 250 support centers in 170 countries and a team of over 7,500 sales staff, 4,500 of which are service technicians, mean we have the most compre- hensive sales and service network in the entire indus- try. Heidelberg generates 85 percent of its sales through its own sales companies and achieves around 87 percent of its sales abroad.
