The Eurobind 500 series sets a new standard among single-clamp
adhesive binders. Sophisticated technology and a professional range
of functions enable problem free perfect binding. Both available
models - the Eurobind 500 and the Eurobind 500A - run at speeds up
to 500 cycles/hour.
Makeready times have been minimized when changing formats
sizes. This ensures maximum flexibility for handling binding jobs
up to 5,000 copies. All functions are controlled from a central
console that features a preheating timer for the glue tank, a copy
counter, display of production information, and an error reporting
program.
The Eurobind 500 series includes standard accessories
such as control of the gluing length for the book spine, driven
side gluing disks, and a vacuum cover feeder with integrated double
scoring unit and conveyor delivery. Optionally available are a pile
delivery and air compressors.
The Eurobind 500 is equipped with manual format changing and
the 500A with automated format changing after data entry at the
control console. The Eurobind 500 cannot be retrofitted for
automated format changes.
Central Control Console
The Eurobind 500 models are operated from an ergonomic
central control console. In addition to controls for the machine
functions, it integrates a preheating timer for the glue tank and a
production counter.
Clamps and Miller
The pneumatic clamps permit binding lengths from 120 to 440
mm (4.72 to 17.32 in). The miller can be set by using a
handwheel. Milling depths between 0 and 3 mm (0.12 in). This
ensures optimum spine preparation and effective preparation for
adhesive application.
Hotmelt Glue Tank
Adhesive is applied to the spine by two form rollers with
controllable gluing length and to the sides by driven gluing disks.
This achieves consistently excellent binding results.
Vacuum Cover Feeder
The vacuum feeder with integrated double scoring unit is easy
to set. Adjustments are made precisely and conveniently using
a handwheel with counter.
Cover Press
The models Eurobind 500 und 500A have a self-regulating
automatic cover press for blocks 2 to 50 mm (0.08 to 1.97 in)
thick.
