Attendees Can Satisfy Appetites for Printing, German Cuisine at
Print Media Demonstration Center
KENNESAW, Ga. - Heidelberg today announced that it will host
an all-day open house in its state-of-the-art Print Media
Demonstration Center (PMDC) on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. "Brats & Dots" will showcase the
latest in Heidelberg's cutting-edge technologies for the print
media industry and feature live demonstrations in its prepress,
press, direct imaging and postpress solution areas.
"Connecting with our customers is paramount to
Heidelberg, and our PMDC was designed to facilitate these
connections by giving customers a place where they can experience
new technologies, participate in customized training programs and
meet with our experts," said Jim Dunn, president of Heidelberg
USA. "Brats & Dots demonstrates Heidelberg's
commitment to its customers and provides another platform for
sharing industry knowledge in a format that is both educational and
entertaining."
Heidelberg executives, product managers and sales
representatives will be on hand at Brats & Dots to answer
questions and provide tips for maximizing investments in Heidelberg
solutions. While interacting with other attendees and viewing
the latest Heidelberg equipment and technologies, guests are
invited to indulge in a traditional German feast featuring
bratwurst and German potato salad. Equipment demonstrations will be
provided throughout the day in Heidelberg's PMDC.
Unveiled to the public in May 2005, Heidelberg's PMDC
serves as a gathering place for customers, industry professionals
and trade and educational associations to meet and experience
Heidelberg's newest technological innovations. The 33,000
square-foot facility houses the latest Heidelberg offerings to the
print media industry, including its newest 40-inch sheetfed press,
the Speedmaster XL 105. The PMDC operates in conjunction with
Heidelberg's Print Media Academy to offer hands-on tutorials on
a full range of prepress, press and postpress equipment and
workflow solutions designed to help printers run more efficient and
profitable businesses.
In addition to Brats & Dots, Heidelberg's PMDC will
host various other educational events, two of which are scheduled
in the days following Brats & Dots. Heidelberg will hold a UV
seminar on December 7, 2005, followed by Prinect Color Solutions
and Speedmaster XL 105 sessions on December 8, 2005. Each program
will feature Heidelberg's industry experts and show registered
customers the benefits of applying Heidelberg's latest
technologies to their businesses.
