AbbeyHine Adds Printmaster Alongside Speedmasters

AbbeyHine has ordered a B3 Printmaster PM52-5 as a supplement to
its two B2 Speedmaster SM 74-5's.
Director Tom Allum says: "We looked at both the SM 52 and PM52 and came down in favour of reduced electronics. This replaces a four-colour GTO and will handle multi-colour work to a better quality. With a fifth colour we can seal in line to achieve the turnrounds necessary, especially with the increasingly popular silk paper stocks used. The PM 52 will be quicker and faster than the GTO, giving us 20% more productivity for the same space."
The press will be delivered over the weekend of the 18-19 February, minimising disruption and downtime. Training will start on the Monday with the press fully commissioned by midweek.
The new press, which will have automatic blanket wash on it, will be fed with metal thermal CtP plates. The company's range of work and run length is comprehensive.
