Usage. Infrared Radiator tubes (or IR tubes) are used in
DryStar units of the Heidelberg® Speedmaster® SM 52,
SM/CD 74, SM/CD 102, and XL 105 machines. In order to ensure
maximum longevity and durability, we recommend the replacement of
the IR tubes every 5,000 hours.
Quality defines the result. Every ink needs a special
wavelength so as to be fl uidized and to infiltrate the paper
before it hardens via oxidation. In this regard, the production
methods used for the Heidelberg IR tubes will guarantee excellent
results.
Our IR tubes use a special gold alloy that focuses the IR
light onto the paper, so your machine will not dangerously heat up.
They meet the highest quality standards, which means they are
without any bubbles and brush marks in the glass to avoid any risk
of fraction due to the machine vibrations. All used cables have
triple C standard, to prevent machine shutdown due to flashover.
Additionally, Heidelberg IR tubes use tantalum disks instead
of halogen to absorb the splitting of Wolfram parts. The result:
Less deposit on the glass (typical black color) and the tubes will
last much longer.
