The heart of Stahlfolder KH 66 and Stahlfolder KH 82 is a new,
automated cross-fold unit. By significantly increasing net output,
the new combination folding machines really boost your earning
power. The main factors that contribute to this increase are their
faster production speed, tangibly faster makeready as a result of
simplified and automated functions, and extremely stable paper
travel, which ensures top-quality folding and maximum machine
uptime, even at high process speeds. All in all, it lets you
increase your average net output by at least 1,000 sheets per hour.
This increase in the maximum process speed to 230 meters per
minute (754.59 feet per minute) with high-quality folding is due to
servodriven folding knives controlled by characteristic curves and
improved sheet guidance with continuous stops, pull wheels at the
leading edge of the sheet and turbo wheels at the trailing edge.
Other forward-looking functions such as collision-free traveling
sheet and side stops as well as automated folding rollers and
slitter shafts substantially speed up makeready. Also remarkable is
the machines' resistance to wear, which minimizes downtimes. All of
these factors contribute greatly to the higher net output.
