On the occasion of drupa 2012 in Düsseldorf, Amman-based
Central Press invested in Jordan's first Speedmaster XL 106
five-color with coater from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG
(Heidelberg). The successor of Heidelberg's Speedmaster XL 105 is
the latest development in the Peak Performance Class and the most
high-tech press in the print media industry. Unveiled at drupa, the
Speedmaster XL 106 achieves new dimensions in productivity thanks
to extremely straightforward operation and the interplay between
preset functions, ink presettings, simultaneous plate changing with
AutoPlate XL, and Prinect Inpress Control. All this makes the press
another 20 to 30 percent more productive than the Speedmaster XL
105 - exactly what Central Press counts on. In the company's press
department, the new press will run alongside a Heidelberg
Speedmaster XL 105, a Speedmaster CD 102 and a Speedmaster CD 74.
Unrivaled productivity in everyday operation with the new Peak
Performance Class flagship
"The trip to drupa is a tradition in our family-owned
company. I am here with my father, who used to come to drupa with
my grandfather before. The purchase of the Speedmaster XL 106 is an
important investment in the future of Central Press. We have always
attached great importance to the further development of our
establishment. Equipped with Heidelberg's state-of-the-art
equipment, we are ready to meet the most demanding customer
requirements and can easily react to future trends. It is
absolutely imperative to provide our customers with end products of
highest quality. All our products are being thoroughly inspected,
all processes are supervised by the company's integral Quality
Control Department which applies the strictest rules and highest
standards of quality control in commercial printing," said Yousef
Hammad, Marketing Manager at Central Press.
His father Maher Hammad, General Director of Central Press,
is convinced that the new Speedmaster XL 106 will achieve new
dimensions in terms of productivity. The press fits perfectly in
with the company's wide range of materials, large print volumes,
and frequent job changes. What's more, the press' high energy and
resource efficiency make it the most environmentally friendly press
in its class - one of the crucial factors for the investment
decision.
About Central Press
The family-owned printing house had been founded in the
early 1960s by late Yousef Hammad, who was one of the first paper
traders and a leading supplier of paper in Jordan. To meet the
rising demand of school books at that time, he took the first step
by establishing a small printing house in Amman in 1960. Since
then, Central Press has been continuously moving forward. By now,
with premises of around 13,000 square meters, Central Press is a
leading and acclaimed comprehensive printing house in both Jordan
and the region. The company is producing a broad range of products:
paperbacks, hard cover books, magazines, calendars, diaries,
folders, binders, brochures, flyers and posters.
Due to the company's commitment to delivering high-quality
products and catering to the individual and specific needs of every
customer with unmatched service, speed and efficiency, Central
Press has managed to build long-term professional relationships
with its numerous customers - among them Unicef, Xerox, Arab Bank,
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the British
animal protection charity SPANA and many others.
