The new DryStar LE (Low Energy) UV dryer from Heidelberg is
designed specifically for four- and five-color commercial print
jobs with or without coating on the Speedmaster XL 105 or
Speedmaster XL 75 for print shops that are looking to enter the UV
commercial market. The DryStar LE UV features the proven technology
of the DryStar UV, adapted to the requirements of commercial
printing. The result is impressive quality, rapid curing, and print
sheets that require only minimal amounts of powder before being
passed on directly to postpress.
The DryStar LE UV is available with one, two, or a maximum of
three lamps per press configuration. Depending on the job
specification, the output of each lamp can be adjusted flexibly
between 80 and 200 W/cm. It is normally possible to start with one
lamp to dry up to four UV inks, while at least two lamps per
machine configuration are needed to cure UV coatings.
