HAN e-Newsletter Issue March 2009
This is the last issue of eNews for Heidelberg's current financial
year. One to remember and then one to forget. April brings a fresh
start and while the economy is no better, we are at least prepared
for leaner times having made the necessary adjustments during
2008/09 as things deteriorated and have hopefully bottomed out.
On a brighter note, the Heidelberg Women in Print events took
place across Australia in March. Almost 400 women from all walks of
life in our industry attended. Now 3 years young, the initiative
has proven itself to be downturn proof! Thanks to our major
sponsors Bluestar Printing Group and GEON for their continued
support and also to all other sponsors that contributed along
with the women who attended and made the evenings a huge success.
See the WIP item in this issue for more and look out for the WIP
breakfast at Pacprint.
With all the negative commentary about it's easy to forget
there are still plenty of opportunities out there. While the pie is
smaller, someone still has to eat it, and it may as well be you.
Now is not the time to lose your appetite. It's with this sentiment
in mind that we approach Pacprint - only 46 sleeps away. We urge
you to make the effort to attend. It's the show case for our
industry and a terrific opportunity to keep up to date on
technology and industry trends. Suppliers will be there in force
and for our part while we have significantly tightened our belt we
have found a way to do more with less. Find the time, spend the
money, come to Melbourne and network with your industry peers -
lift your spirits, learn a little, discover something new, make
plans for the present and be prepared for when the good times
return.
Let us know you're coming to Pacprint by
registering here.
Enjoy the read!
Best regards,
Glenn Plummer
