IntoPrint Poised for Growth with New CD102 5 Colour Press
A "big printer" mindset combined with a commitment to personalised
service has taken IntoPrint from a half-sized print shop to the
largest format independent print company on Sydney's northern
beaches in only six years.
The growth of IntoPrint has been steady since the three partners - Tony Perini, Grant Regan and Michael Maloney - all of whom have a printing background, took the plunge and opened their own business in 2002 with a secondhand MOF-H press.
Today the company employs a team of 16 and produces a broad range of commercial jobs for a wide ranging clientele.
At drupa this year the trio signed a deal for a brand new Heidelberg Speedmaster CD102 five colour with aqueous coater, their first new press. This press will be commissioned in November joining the MOF-H and a Speedmaster SM102 five colour with coater which was installed in 2005. Notable, the press is optioned with Axis Control, Heidelberg's unique automatic colour bar measuring system to ensure shorter makeready and top quality, consistent colour control.
With the new press IntoPrint will be at the forefront of technology offering their clients even better quality and more productivity as Tony Perini explains.
"The CD102 suits the broad range of print work we do. With its unique triple transfer we can go from a 70gsm catalogue job to a 1mm thick box job using the auto settings only. And the Axis Control makes colour management a breeze."
Plus the coating unit will enable them to offer better specialty finishes. "The CD102 coating unit uses a doctor blade as opposed to a nip roller system which will allow us to coat a lot thicker and use more relief aqueous to substitute spot UVs. This means we can offer our clients cheaper alternatives to other processes such as Celloglaze and UV. Plus it gives us the option to produce special effects coatings such as pearl essence and metallics."
Tony is convinced their dedicated approach to customer service, a great team, loyal customers and top quality equipment will continue to see IntoPrint grow well into the future.
"Where other companies are closing or being swallowed up by bigger concerns we continue to realise strong growth. I think the future is bright for our young company and we are keen to continue to advance using Heidelberg technology to drive the business forward."
