HAN e-Newsletter Issue July 2008

Here we are back in the routine after the suspense, then the thrill followed by the relief and we are well into the follow-up work of drupa. Over the past seven weeks there have been a number of post drupa events around Australia & New Zealand with commentators generally observing that there was no overall theme that sums up drupa 2008. But one thing is clear. The various technologies, offset, digital and inkjet are complimentary and have their place in the production mix alongside each other. But in the same way newer technologies are here to stay, offset is not dead. It is unmatched for speed, quality, stock flexibility, and special effects and innovation particularly in the area of automation will continue to drive offset to new heights. Looking forward, the 2007/08 financial year end is done and dusted and it's time to anticipate the traditionally strong sales and production months leading into December.
