HAN e-Newsletter Issue June 2008 - Post drupa Edition
As promised this issue of e-News is a drupa special. Each of our
product managers has brought you the HEI Lights from drupa from
their perspective based on what they feel is most interesting to
our customers in Australia and New Zealand. With HEI Performance
and HEI Value established as our new motto at drupa, we think we
lived up to the promise. For me this drupa saw Heidelberg's
innovations absolutely aimed at high productivity and solutions to
increase profits for our customers.
In partnership with Adidas Heidelberg produced many jobs that
illustrated the uniqueness of print and the value that print can
add to brand image in the overall marketing mix. And it was all
done flat out, at full throttle - just the way we like you to run
While the sun has set on drupa 2008, aficionados are still
looking to come up with a label to describe this show. So far I've
not heard one phrase that adequately encapsulates this drupa. JDF
and integrated workflow is a reality and no longer a novelty, Toner
based Digital is better but still cannot claim the format and stock
flexibility nor quality and speed to replace offset and Ink Jet is
exciting but for the broad based market still a fair way off. But
one thing is clear - 400,000 people saw that offset is alive and
well with the various technologies complementing each other for the
overall good of Print Media.

Prinect demonstrations Heidelberg performed during Drupa.

For our industry drupa is the Olympics', it's the time of
excitement, it's the time for new innovations and where all
competition gets to meet face to face and customer see all there is
to see "under one roof".
drupa 08 - The Complete Package
Visitors to drupa could not fail to recognise Heidelberg's
clear determination to intensify their activities and commitment to
the packaging industry.
Heidelberg Post Press HEI LIGHTS from Drupa
Visitors to our halls 1 and 2 at Drupa could not help but be
impressed by the feast Heidelberg offered of finishing equipment
all running live jobs at maximum output.
drupa 2008 Launches Heidelberg Saphira Global Consumables
Drupa was the official launching place of Heidelberg's new
global consumable brand Saphira. Three special designed Saphira
performance Kits were also launched at drupa.
We're bringing drupa to you
If you will not travel to Dusseldorf in May this year, we will
