Superdot Fountain Solutions for Sheetfed Presses
Superdot Fount Soft 13 is suitable for all machines from A3
to large high speed presses. New technology prevents a build-up of
calcium from paper and ink and reduces "picture framing".
FS13 is effective in all types of dampening systems - both conventional and continuous - with and without alcohol. Water settings may be reduced to improve drying times and incidences of emulsification.
FS13 is a one step fountain solution and will reduce ink consumption with stable Ink/Water balance and fast start-up. It is non-foaming and readily biodegradable.
The suggested dosage of 2% will give a pH reading of around 5.
Superdot Quick Fount 90 contains elements that will assist the drying of conventional inks on a variety of paper stocks. It is buffered to give a constant pH reading and with advanced wetting agents allows for a thinner film of water to be carried.
The suggested dosage of 2% will give a pH reading of around 3.5
It is recommended that before installing FS13 or QF90 that Superdot Fount Clean is used to eliminate all traces of contamination and remove residues and build-up from the fountain system. With regular use Superdot Fount Clean will reduce maintenance by dissolving ink, gum and lint from pipes, fount pans, pumps and re-circulators. A biocide is also incorporated to remove bacteria and fungus from the system.
SUPERDOT also has a range of Founts to suit Direct Dampening Systems and presses fitted with Kompac Dampening Systems.
Superdot Fount Conditioner is used to adjust the water hardness to 9d, which is considered to be the optimum water condition for lithographic printing. It stabilises the water and enables accurate and constant pH and conductivity of the dampening solution and is compatible with all Superdot Fount Solutions. Suggested dosage 0.5% depending on local water conditions.
