Folding Carton and Gluing - Inlet spotter - Renewed interest driven by 'Shelf Ready Packaging'

With retail supply chains showing increasing demand for Shelf Ready Packaging, there is a renewed interest in the need to glue two part cartons accurately and reliably.

The Heidelberg Inlet Spotter is specifically designed for gluing two-part cartons for shipping/display and reinforcing inserts for detergent boxes.  Placed in front of the pre-folding section of the carton folder gluer, the Inlet Spotter has a new independent servo drive and a vacuum-assisted timed feeder. Utilising synchronised squaring chains the spotter brings together the carton and the inlet blank precisely in register.

For higher productivity the Inlet Spotter can be combined with the Diana pre-feeder and the inlet pre-feeder for automatic blank feeding in a shingled stream.
