Ever since its launch in 1996, the Speedmaster SM52 has set the
pace for presses in the A3 format.
The SM52 brought levels of automation and performance to the
A3 market that were once only available to owners of larger press
formats.
Now, over ten years on from the SM52's launch, features such
as automatic blanket, impression and roller wash up, 15,000sph
capacity and remote ink key settings are seen as standard for this
competitive market segment.
To cement the SM52's position as the number one press for A3
printers Heidelberg has, over the past few years, introduced
features such as UV, inline die-cutting, and chamber doctor blade
coating systems. Combined with the CP2000 operating system, which
is standard across the Speedmaster range, the SM52 continues to
lead the A3 market in technology, flexibility, and production
output levels.
With innovation and enhancement an ongoing process for
Heidelberg, we are pleased to announce that the SM52 is now
available as a ten colour press - enabling true one pass
productivity for the small format printer.
The Australia and New Zealand market is home to over 900 SM52
printing units, with three long perfectors already installed and a
fourth ordered at Printex by Taieri Printing of Dunedin New
Zealand. The 10 colour Speedmaster 52 is a vote of confidence in
one pass productivity and ensures long perfectors have a place
across all formats.
With the continued popularity of this reliable press, and
with SM52 sales at an all-time high, we expect that we will soon
achieve a worthy milestone - the installation of the 1,000th SM52
printing unit in our marketplace.
