Polar's Opticut Knife Setting Saves Time and Money
Polar's new Opticut knife setting reduces the time needed to
change a knife and also extends the time between knife changes. It
is an exclusive feature only available on X and XT model
guillotines.
Generally the sharpness of a new knife is determined by the first four or five cuts after a new knife is installed.
Depending on the skill and patience of the guillotine operator the knife edge can be dulled within those first few cuts making it necessary to change the knife prematurely.
Polar's new Opti-knife is the quickest and safest knife now available. The unique function of the electronically assisted Opti-knife allows precise setting of the knife to the cutting stick thus extending the interval between knife changes.
