Following the launch of Heidelberg's Varimatrix die cutter in July
at 'Printscape 2006' the company today announced the first
Varimatrix to be sold into the New Zealand market.
Jonathan and Chris Flett from Pak World, a niche carton
packaging producer based in Christchurch (New Zealand), attended
Printscape with a view to seeing the Varimatrix in action. After a
thorough analysis of all options on the market Pak World recently
signed a deal for the Varimatrix, due for delivery in early 2007.
Heidelberg Australia and New Zealand's (HAN's) Product
Manager - Packaging, John Harrison said of the sale, "Since
launching the Varimatrix six months ago the die cutter has been so
well received. There was a lot of interest in the machine at
Printscape and securing our first order is a great vote of
confidence in the machine and the support services Heidelberg
provide around it."
The Varimatrix is highly automated and very easy to use and
is an economical solution for industrial offset printers and
packaging specialist alike. Harrison adds, "We have a number of
other die cutter projects resulting from the launch and expect the
Pak World sale to help secure further sales in the short term."
