Complete solutions for digital printing and workflow / Focus on
applications
At CeBIT 2003 in Hanover, March 12-19, 2003, Heidelberger
Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will be exhibiting as a total
solutions provider for the entire digital printing industry under
the slogan "Digital Inspirations". "At the
forthcoming CeBIT, Heidelberg will demonstrate to its customers
another complete, integrated solution package consisting of
relevant digital printing and workflow applications", says
Holger Reichardt, Heidelberg's Marketing, Sales and Service
Director. "We will be showing our customers the particular
advantages that digital printing can offer them when combined with
consumer media such as television and the Internet. Targeted
marketing campaigns, supported by variable data printing, are
considerably more effective than standard advertising."
The exhibits will focus on Heidelberg's digital printing
systems and their applications. In particular, visitors will be
shown the various possibilities of variable data printing, and
these will be illustrated by means of numerous print job
demonstrations. The aim is to demonstrate how consumer media such
as television, when supported by digital printing, can be
personalized so as to enhance communication between companies and
their customers.
Prinect Systemhaus
Prinect Systemhaus will be represented at CeBIT for the
second time and presenting Heidelberg's JDF-compatible workflow
solutions. Heidelberg is looking to use its workflow offerings to
demonstrate how media service providers can boost their
competitiveness over the long term with an end-to-end workflow
customized to their specific needs.
Digimaster 9110/9150i - output management
Heidelberg will be demonstrating the Digimaster 9110
black/white digital printing system and - for the first time at a
German trade show - the Digimaster 9150i with a range of software
and finishing applications and the roll feeder from Hunkeler. The
Probinder, Heidelberg's fully automatic solution for wire comb
bindings, will be on show for the first time in Germany as an
inline finishing solution linked to a Digimaster. This event also
marks the product's launch onto the whole European market.
Heidelberg will also be showcasing DataXceed at CeBIT. This output
management software, which is available for the Digimaster, is able
to process virtually all standard data center file formats and is
aimed primarily at potential customers from industry,
administration, banks, insurance companies and telecommunications.
NexPress 2100
The NexPress 2100, which has been available since Print
01 in Chicago, was the world's first digital color press.
Heidelberg is now selling it successfully in 13 countries.
Heidelberg will present the high-performance system at CeBIT as a
high-quality solution for variable data printing, Web-to-Print and
Print On Demand in combination with NexTreme customizing software.
This solution is thus aimed primarily at customers who are either
already using or are considering moving into efficient 1:1
marketing with completely variable data printing.
Quickmaster DI 46-4 Pro
The Quickmaster DI 46-4 Pro, which will also be on show
at CeBIT, combines digital prepress with waterless offset printing.
The presentation highlights the end-to-end digital workflow which
extends right up to the press. The main target customers for the
Quickmaster DI Pro are prepress companies, digital printers and
advertising agencies looking to move into the growing market for
short-run color.
PMA / Linotype Library / System Service
The Print Media Academy (PMA) is to present its latest
seminar portfolio. At the heart of this are seminars on digital
printing and workflow aimed not only at potential participants from
the print media industry but also at marketing experts. Both
Linotype Library with its "Corporate Type" and "Font
Explorer" and the System Service department with remote
service concepts specifically for digital printing will also be
represented again at the Heidelberg stand in 2003. The Heidelberg
stand is Stand 6 a2, Hall 1.
