Focus on digital printing rewarded by customers ordering eleven
NexPress units
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg), the world's
leading supplier of solutions for the entire print and media
industry, has had great success overall at CeBIT 2002 in Hanover.
The fact that Heidelberg's presentation focused on
comprehensive digital solutions was very well-received by visitors
to the stand. The number of visitors to the Heidelberg stand was up
significantly on last year and 20 percent were from abroad. Not
only were numerous Quickmaster DI 46-4 Pro and Digimaster 9110
deals concluded, eleven NexPress 2100 presses were also sold.
"Despite the difficult economic situation, Heidelberg managed
to surpass the trade show targets the company had set itself by a
wide margin. CeBIT in Hanover remains for us the most important
trade show for demonstrating our expertise in the digital printing
sector", states Holger Reichardt, Director of Sales and
Marketing at Heidelberg.
The integrated print job demonstration in collaboration with
AUDI AG prompted especially keen interest from stand visitors.
Around 5000 AUDI TT Roadstar fans alone used the PC terminals
provided to design their dream car and took home or asked to be
sent the personalized four-color brochure printed afterwards on the
NexPress 2100. "This demonstration allowed us to bring the
advantages of one-to-one marketing to a wide audience,"
explains Reichardt. Other popular attractions included the
DataXceed solution for high-volume black/white printing in computer
centers used in conjunction with the Digimaster 9110, and the
Quickmaster DI 46-4 Pro used for the presentation of hybrid print
jobs in combination with the Digimaster and NexPress. Holger
Reichardt sums up: "With live demonstrations of integrated
print jobs which encompassed all our digital print solutions,
Heidelberg was clearly a cut above the competition. No other
company in the graphic arts industry can boast such comprehensive
expertise in digital printing."
