During the upcoming drupa trade show, which is to take place from
May 3 to 16, 2012 in Düsseldorf, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen
AG (Heidelberg) is presenting an extended portfolio of services for
companies in the print media industry. Customers benefit from a
range of products that gives them maximum machine availability,
delivers stable and environmentally friendly production, and offers
quantifiable added value.
"The service concept first unveiled at IPEX 2010, comprising
Technical Services, consumables, and Performance Services, has now
firmly established itself on the market. Strategic takeovers and
collaborations have enabled Heidelberg to further expand its
portfolio for the upcoming drupa trade show. Our customers benefit
from added-value services they can use to boost their
competitiveness on a sustainable and quantifiable basis," says
Marcel Kiessling, member of the Heidelberg Management Board
responsible for Heidelberg Services.
In Hall 1 at drupa, Heidelberg will be showcasing its range
of services both centrally in the Heidelberg Services Area and in
the Solution Areas for advertising and packaging printing, where it
will be presented in tandem with the latest market trends - HEI
Productivity, HEI Integration, HEI Flexibility, HEI End, HEI
Emotions, and HEI Eco.
New service contracts ensure print shops benefit from higher
productivity and uninterrupted machine availability
Heidelberg is tailoring its
service contracts more closely to the various business
models operated by print shops and is presenting them at drupa
under the banner of HEI Productivity. Customers decide what matters
most to them and can choose from five packages in the Heidelberg
Partner Program range - the Maintenance Agreement, the Remote
Agreement, the Service Agreement, the Full Service Agreement and,
for particularly high requirements, the Performance Agreement.
Depending on their needs and business models, customers can opt for
basic cover, more comprehensive service measures designed to
eliminate risks, or extended services for optimizing production
systems with virtually zero risk. The entire range is designed to
boost productivity and machine availability. Virtually all the
options include Remote Service functions, which enable users to
benefit from preventive maintenance, software upgrades, and
reliable, rapid problem resolution. Heidelberg also offers a
separate Remote Service contract.
Remote Service functions are requested by more than 80
percent of customers and have long been a key part of the
Heidelberg portfolio. The Internet-based Remote Service platform
allows Heidelberg Systemservice to resolve issues online, which it
does in approximately 70 percent of all service incidents related
to press electronics and up to 90 percent of all cases involving
Prinect software.
ISO certifications reassure customers that they are getting
exceptionally high-quality print production
Print customers are increasingly asking service providers to
supply evidence of consistently high production quality and
certification to ISO 12647-2 by Heidelberg is the answer.
The certification service from Heidelberg gives print shops the
opportunity to prove to their customers that they meet the very
highest standards in color integrity and repeatability. Heidelberg
is the only service provider on the market to offer ISO 12647-2
certification as a fully comprehensive package from a single
source, with everything included from consultancy, prepress
adjustments, and press system modifications, to inspection,
certification, documentation, and training. More than 70 print
shops around the world have already been certified to this standard
by Heidelberg. The ISO certifications will be exhibited at the
trade show as part of the HEI Emotions market trend.
New functions in the Prinect print shop workflow focus on growth
segments in the print media industry
As part of the
Prinect print shop workflow, Heidelberg is exhibiting
software functions that make it much easier for users to manage
their entire company and boost their productivity and flexibility.
Prinect solutions will be on show at drupa under the banners HEI
Integration, HEI Productivity, HEI Flexibility, and HEI End.
The Prinect Business Manager gives customers a fully
integrated management information system (MIS) that is unique in
the sector. The Prinect W2P Manager can be used to roll out a range
of business models for both B2B and B2C requirements in this growth
segment, while the revamped Prinect Digital Print Manager
integrates offset and digital printing in a single workflow. The
Prinect Packaging Workflow has also been reworked and now offers
packaging printers integration solutions that are specifically
geared towards the industrialized production of folding cartons and
labels.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution
Prinect Performance Benchmarking enables print shops to
compare and measure their performance. Using anonymous data pools
that are updated daily, print shops can gauge their performance and
efficiency against other print shops around the world that have a
similar business model, order spectrum, and machine configuration.
In conjunction with
Prinect Mobile, users can access the latest information on
their company's performance wherever and whenever they choose via a
smartphone.
Extended consultancy offerings for energy management improve the
environmental performance of print shops
Heidelberg is extending its
consultancy offerings with the introduction of the Print
Shop
Energy Efficiency Program. Working with partner companies,
Heidelberg helps print shops to identify possible energy savings -
such as heat recovery, load profile management, and lighting - and
to implement suitable measures throughout the company. This gives
print shops the opportunity to manage their energy consumption
efficiently and can help lower energy costs by up to 20 percent. It
also makes it easier for businesses to ensure compliance with
statutory regulations. Furthermore, eco-friendly print shops can
integrate these measures into their marketing concept. Heidelberg
is presenting this range of offers under the HEI Eco banner at
drupa.
Saphira consumables from Heidelberg ensure stable and
environmentally friendly production
Heidelberg is expanding its range of Saphira consumables with
a number of exceptionally environmentally friendly products in the
Saphira Eco line, which it will be showcasing under the HEI Eco
banner.
Saphira Eco products meet the very highest standards for
consumables in the print media industry. As a result, after drupa,
Heidelberg will be providing print shops that meet certain criteria
with a
Saphira Eco symbol that they can use to denote print
products, which have been produced using Saphira Eco consumables
and do not contain environmentally harmful materials.
Heidelberg is also showcasing a
Saphira Eco Starter Kit that enables customers to achieve
exceptionally eco-friendly production from the very first day their
presses are taken into service.
