2. Belt TableEquipped with double-sheet detection, sheet-retarding device, adjustable blower air and flexible air assistance for guiding the piles laterally, the feeder assures steady guidance of sheets and precise sheet transfer onto the belt table.
The forwarding sucker is diagonally adjustable. This enables the sheets to be kept absolutely straight as they pass over the belt table to the front lays. As a result, there are fewer machine stops and a lasting increase in productivity. Nonstop operation can also be easily set up without problem.
The Varimatrix 105 C/CS also features pre-piling in front of the feeder. The pre-piling device is set according to format so that perfect piles can be formed on pallets which run on rails. This makes a significant contribution to smooth production. The sides of the piles are guided by a push button operated motor. The feeder can also be set up for operation with disposable pallets.
The standard side lays can be switched directly from pull to push mode on both sides of the machine without having to add or remove parts. This creates the flexibility needed for processing a wide range of material: irrespective of whether the register marks are to the left or right of the sheet - the Varimatrix 105 C/CS is quick and easy to set up.
The frame arranged above the belt table is another feature contributing to short make-ready times and fast changeovers. It can simply be lifted up towards the suction head. The rollers are also mounted on rails in a frame: by turning a handwheel, these are moved and locked into the optimal position for the given format.
The independent servomotor allows the belt speed to be adjusted independently of the machine speed, resulting in smooth transport and better net runtimes.
The optical sensors of the four front lays open up pairing options. This enables you to optimize system monitoring - for comprehensive quality control over the entire sheet width.
3. Cutting and Stripping Stations
The pneumatic locking mechanism of the die cutting tool frame makes the Varimatrix 105 C/CS much easier to set up and change over. The variable chase is designed for different cutting die dimensions, which means that existing die cutting tools can still be used, too.
The cutting tools are arranged on arms which can be swung out of the cutting station and folded away again. Thus the machine has a smooth front and the machine platform remains clear and fully accessible during production.
Stripping with the Varimatrix 105 CS is done using dedicated tools or with the help of upper and lower pins. To secure smooth production, the stripping station is also equipped with a sheet transfer apron. The sheet transfer apron can be adjusted according to the sheet length, which ensures that even unstripped sheets glide smoothly and evenly through the station without causing downtime.
4. Delivery
The grippers are opened individually and can also be individually adjusted. This ensures reliable depositing of each sheet. Additional pile counting can also be integrated with a device for inserting paper slips into the pile. In this way, it is easier to take off blanks and pack them into shipping cases.
A conveyor belt is on hand for automatic removal of the waste from the gripper margin. Making it no longer necessary to remove by hand, even more valuable time is saved during the converting process.
