Iriodin (UV) and Die Cutting
One of the strengths of Speedmaster Duo presses is their ability to
print on plastic films. A combination of two different UV Iriodin
inks is used on the adjacent luggage labels. After printing, the
luggage labels are die cut on the versatile Dymatrix 106 CSB
high-performance die cutter.
Printing
The first step is spot application of UV Iriodin Silver in the first coating unit of the Speedmaster Duo Machine, giving the blue flowers on the luggage labels a silk shimmer. Next come the UV process colors. The second coating unit then applies a full-area dispersion matt coating to protect the luggage labels. Finally, a spot coating of Irodin Solar Gold is applied in the third coating unit.
Die cutting
The luggage labels are die cut on the high-performance Dymatrix 106 CSB die cutter.
