Speedmaster SX 52 - Meyer Rottal Druck
07/18/2012
Based in Ruswil, in the Swiss Canton of Lucerne, Meyer Rottal
Druck AG has always enjoyed great success with technology from
Heidelberg. Following a Suprasetter A75 with Prinect Prepress
Manager and Signa Station that was already installed, the print
shop recently took delivery of a Speedmaster SX 52-5.
According to brothers Roland, Beat, and Thomas Meyer, "All the
workflow components are perfectly interlinked because they come
from the same total solution provider."
Replacing a two-color Printmaster GTO 52, the Speedmaster SX
52-5 now enables the family business with 16 staff to provide its
customers with even better multicolor offset print products.
"Thanks to its short makeready times, the short time it takes to
reach full production speed, and its outstanding print quality,
this press from the new SX generation gives us a clear competitive
edge," the brothers agree.
The Speedmaster SX 52-5 is operated from the Prinect Press
Center control station, which has an integrated Prinect Easy
Control ink control system. The programmable washup functions for
blanket, impression cylinder, and inking/dampening system, the
Alcolor continuous-film dampening system, the process-oriented
Intellistart operator guidance system, and the AutoPlate plate
changer speed up makeready processes considerably and help the
print engineers quickly achieve production stability. This enables
Meyer Rottal Druck to offer competitive sheetfed offset printing
for a wide range of run lengths.
