At drupa Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has launched
its complete range of digital print solutions for advertising and
packaging printing under the name Heidelberg
Linoprint.
"Heidelberg has used drupa as a platform to unveil the full
integration of all its digital print solutions for short and
variable runs in the advertising and packaging printing sectors in
its own product portfolio. This way, our customers benefit from the
close interlinking of offset and digital printing that print shops
can use to boost their competitiveness further. The name Heidelberg
Linoprint stands for the entire digital print portfolio of
Heidelberg," says Stephan Plenz, member of the Management Board
responsible for Heidelberg Equipment.
Linoprint C model to be equipped as standard with new Prinect
Digital Print Manager
Even without integration into a complete workflow, this
solution provides users with a highly efficient and transparent
digital print workflow with a wide range of functions, such as
variable data management, postpress with digital inline finishing
systems, and a document-oriented workflow. Optional integration
into the Prinect print shop workflow creates a seamless hybrid
workflow between offset and digital printing that is unique in the
industry. Users therefore have access to all the functions of the
Prinect workflow, such as job planning and costing, standardized
color management, and end-to-end management and production control
from prepress and press all the way through to postpress.
This enables print shops to manage and calculate both their
offset and digital print jobs from a single workflow.
Digital presses from Canon, HP, Kodak, and Xerox can still be
integrated into the Prinect workflow with the new Prinect Digital
Print Connector, but with a reduced range of functions.
Linoprint L product line for digital packaging printing based on
inkjet solutions from Heidelberg
Having acquired digital print specialist CSAT in 2011,
Heidelberg offers inkjet systems for the digital printing of
labels, blister packs, and films under the name Heidelberg
Linoprint L. The Heidelberg Linoprint L (formerly iTS6oo) is
a drop-on-demand system for the economical production of complex
short to medium-sized label and film runs and applications with
variable content. Users thus have access to a solution that enables
pioneering applications, such as smart labels, security printing,
and traceable labels.
"The Heidelberg Linoprint L series provides packaging
manufacturers with a tried-and-tested and technologically advanced
drop-on-demand inkjet system that can either be operated as a
standalone machine or integrated into packaging lines. This enables
them to meet new market requirements cost-effectively. At the same
time, users enjoy the benefits of the global sales network and the
excellent service quality of the leading solution provider for the
print media industry," says Daniel Dreyer, Head Digital Packaging
Solutions at Heidelberg.
