At drupa 2012, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will be
exhibiting an extended range of consumables along with both
technical and performance-related services at the heart of its
stand. This will be closely linked to its equipment solutions in
the Solution Areas for commercial and packaging printing. A
presentation focusing on the industry's successful business
models will provide visitors to drupa with information on a
portfolio of services that will maximize the availability of their
equipment, ensure stable, eco-friendly production, and deliver
measurable added value.
Practical customer demonstrations in the central Heidelberg
Services Area
The
model of a printing unit will be a real eye-catcher in the
Services Area of the stand. It will provide a practical
demonstration of the service portfolio's added value, including
aspects such as continuous machine availability, high productivity,
and the benefits of targeted training measures.
At the Heidelberg Saphira Counter, customers will be able to
obtain details of the company's entire consumables portfolio.
As of drupa, Heidelberg will be offering an extended range of
particularly eco-friendly consumables from its
Saphira Eco product line and, for the first time, a
comprehensive selection of
low-migration Saphira
consumables such as inks, coatings, washup solutions, and
adhesives for the
production of folding cartons and labels for use in the food
industry. All products are ISEGA-certified and comply with the
requirements of EU Directive 1935/2004, which means they are
approved for use in making food packaging. They are available
worldwide. Heidelberg will also be presenting its
Online Shop.
In addition to the company's
range of remarketed equipment, the presentation on
technical services in the Heidelberg Services Area will
focus on the reorganized
service agreement structure, which can be adapted even more
precisely to print shops' different business models. Customers
will also be able to obtain information about the established
portfolio of
Remote Service functions that Heidelberg is developing on an
ongoing basis.
Remote Monitoring is the latest addition and will be
available from drupa onward. If they wish, users can opt for
continuous web-based preventive monitoring and analysis of the
technical condition of their equipment solutions. The aim is to
identify any faults at an early stage and to eliminate them, if
possible during the next scheduled service. This will make it
easier for users to plan their production process. They will also
benefit from reduced downtimes, easier troubleshooting, and greater
transparency thanks to service interval reports. To benefit from
this service, machines need to be connected to the Heidelberg
web-based Remote Service and customers must have concluded a
service agreement in which they consent to continuous data transfer
and analysis.
During the show, visitors will be able to register for
exclusive expert presentations on the Prinect operating system.
These presentations will take place daily at eight
Prinect workstations. There will be a total of 14
presentations with Prinect on various topics relating to workflow
integration at print shops - from management and production
workflows to comprehensive integration of all processes, including
reporting and analyses. The focus will be on the Prinect
workflow's extended functions. These are geared to the print
media industry's growth segments such as web-to-print,
packaging printing, and digital printing.
In a further section of the Services Area, Heidelberg will be
showcasing its
training and
consulting portfolio, including the
Print Shop Energy Efficiency program that has been added for
drupa. Working with partner companies, Heidelberg will help print
shops to identify possible energy savings and to implement suitable
measures throughout the company.
The
Heidelberg Classroom in the Performance Services Area will
offer training units for visitors throughout the day at fixed times
along with specialist talks on the latest trends such as workflow
integration, web-to-print, packaging printing, and the use of
consumables or consulting services to boost performance.
The relevant service portfolio will also always be included
in the customer demonstrations of the equipment solutions in the
Solution Areas for commercial and packaging printing, thereby
linking it to the key market trends of HEI Productivity, HEI
Integration, HEI Flexibility, HEI End, HEI Emotions, and HEI Eco.
"The way we have structured the presentation of our services
and consumables at drupa will enable customers to see immediately
that utilizing the portfolio in conjunction with our equipment
solutions will generate added value for their business model," says
Marcel Kiessling, member of the Management Board responsible for
Heidelberg Services. "Our comprehensive range of services and
consumables has now become firmly established on the market,
because our customers are increasingly realizing that they can
become far more competitive by using our state-of-the-art equipment
solutions, especially in combination with our attractive services,"
he adds.

of consumables along with both technical and performance-related
services in the 600 square meter Heidelberg Services Area of its
stand in Hall 1 at drupa.
