Moving imaged printing plates from prepress to press areas is often a precarious and unsatisfactory experience, with many existing methods of transport jolting the sensitive and valuable plates during their journey. Also, most trolleys available are just for transporting plates and not for subsequently keeping them to hand. This reduces the amount of storage space available in prepress areas and at the press. Getting plates to their destination often involves a lot of handling which, in turn, increases the risk of damage.
