Speedmaster XL 75 - Druckerei Lutz AG
06/26/2012
Swiss print shop Druckerei Lutz AG opts for waterless
Speedmaster XL 75.
Since the end of 2005, Druckerei Lutz AG in Speicher has worked
exclusively in waterless offset printing. By working in this way,
employing heat recovery technology, and using vehicles powered by
natural gas, the print shop leads the way in terms of ecology. From
the summer of 2012, Druckerei Lutz AG will expand its waterless
operations to include a Speedmaster XL 75-5+L. After successful
tests in tough conditions, it was clear that the new waterless
machine would be supplied by Heidelberg. This decision was based
not only on the technical results but also on the knowledge that
Druckerei Lutz AG could rely on Heidelberg to provide full support
with a range of outstanding services.
The Speedmaster XL 75 is the latest machine generation
launched at drupa 2012. In this new generation, the DryStar dryer
is equipped as standard with round-nozzle technology, thus offering
significantly improved efficiency and smoother sheet travel. The
new contact strip monitoring function is also available as
standard. At the touch of a button, print engineers can now request
a print sheet with the contact strips of the inking rollers.
A new washup system for rollers, blankets, and impression
cylinders will significantly shorten the cleaning cycles and
substantially reduce the consumption of cleaning agents. Automation
modules such as Prinect Inpress Control and the Intellistart
process-oriented operator guidance system will enable Druckerei
Lutz AG to produce its medium-size runs even more cost-effectively.
For operating, monitoring, and controlling the print system, print
engineers will have access not only to the wallscreen integrated in
the Prinect Press Center, but also a new terminal with high-quality
TFT monitor on the feeder. The central control panel provides
information on the current press status and enables direct access
to all the relevant functions.
