Sina Printing recently moved to a new location in Markham, Ontario,
part of the Greater Toronto Area. The new site occupies almost
60,000 square feet - a 40 percent growth in size from their
previous location. Along with the new plant came a new press:
Ontario's first Speedmaster CX 102 6+L, which stands for the latest
technology of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg),
Sina Printing's key to success is complete customer service
and turnaround time according to Mike Meshkati, President of the
company: "We also have to be very competitive, but our customers
value the consistency in delivering whatever is important to them.
Anyone can deliver once, but trust comes over time. We also offer a
large spectrum of print solutions from offset to digital to wide
format, and with our equipment line-up we are able to produce both
short and longer run materials for our customers."
The Speedmaster CX 102-6+L fits perfectly in Sina Printing's
"Lean Manufacturing World"
The equipment line-up is important: Sina Printing's 65
employees turn out an impressive 750 orders per day. That is lean
manufacturing!
Sina Printing looked at all press vendors, and finally
decided in favour of a new Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 102-6+L press.
Mike Meshkati stated that although the company is already equipped
with Heidelberg presses, the technology has evolved enough in the
past few years to give them cause to look at all the press vendors.
In the end, they still felt that Heidelberg was the right choice.
After having looked at both the Speedmaster XL 105 and the
Speedmaster CX 102 models they chose the latter. The platform is
the same as the print shop's Speedmaster CD 102 and Speedmaster SM
102 presses, which means that Sina Printing's consumable needs will
stay the same. It also offers flexibility in production.
Speedmaster XL 105 technologies support increased speed of
Speedmaster CX 102
The Speedmaster CX 102-6+L press is capable of running
16,500 sheets per hour, and thus the fastest press in the plant.
Supporting the increased speed of the press are several
technologies from the already proven Speedmaster XL 105 press:
Preset Plus Feeder and Delivery, Speedmaster XL 105 gripper and
transfer technology, Speedmaster XL 105 series coating and drying
capabilities and the Intellistart Operating System.
"The presetting capabilities of this press are really
impressive" adds Mike Meshkati. "We haven't had it long enough to
have an exact figure on increased performance, but we expect it to
be significant. And when we need speed, it is effortless." In the
"lean manufacturing world" that is Sina Printing, the Speedmaster
CX 102-6+L looks like the right partner for print.
Sina Printing started out small. Less than two decades ago,
they had a two-color press with a small storefront. Today, with
several high-end presses, full bindery, a facility over 60,000
square feet in size and more than 65 dedicated staff, they have a
reputation for first-rate quality and excellent customer service.
At present, the company is one of the powerhouse print
solution providers in the Greater Toronto Market. In a market
that has been tough on printers, Sina Printing has thrived.

competitive edge to cope with increasingly demanding market
challenges. As an option, the press can be equipped with Ink Line,
the automated ink supply.
