Heidelberg offers new Inserter, Imagedirect Scanner and Perfect
Binder
At CeBIT, the division Digital of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) announced that its new Imagedirect 665 Production Scanner, Heidelberg Inserter and Heidelberg Perfect Binder are now available worldwide. The product accessories add new capabilities and functionality to high-volume printing solutions, including the Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 print system.
The new accessories join the company's broad portfolio of digital, high-volume monochrome products and services, along with the new ImageSmart Document Mastering 1.5 and Document Library.
"The Digimaster 9110 system is redefining high-volume, digital black-and-white printing by delivering best-in-class image quality, unsurpassed reliability and up-time," said Heidelberg Digital CEO Wolfgang Pfizenmaier. "With the addition of these new accessories and our new software, Heidelberg Digital is making the Digimaster an even more powerful and productive tool for print customers around the world."
The print accessories will be available through the four channel partners of NexPress Solutions LLC's Black and White business, which markets Heidelberg Digital manufactured products. The channel partners are Canon/Ikon, Danka, Hei-delberg and IBM.

Heidelberg Inserter
Designed to fit seamlessly into an existing print system, this Digimaster 9110 system accessory offers the ability to insert both pre-printed color and image-rich pages into black-and-white documents, easily, without slow-ing down workflow. The inserter's unique three-drawer configuration offers a 4,000-sheet capacity and enables the production of complex documents through the insertion of pre-printed materials in a variety of substrates. Unlike competitive offerings, the inserter allows a uniquely broad range of substrates and paper sizes to be included in a document.
Imagedirect 665 Production Scanner
This new scanner gives users best-in-class image quality, without sacrificing speed. It delivers true 600 x 600-dpi resolution at its full speed of 65 pages per minute. The rugged design helps Imagedirect achieve dramatic improvement over existing document scanners in production uptime by reducing work stoppage and expanding service intervals. Imagedirect supports open industry standards and can be easily integrated so scanned documents and pictures can be used in other imaging applications.
Heidelberg Perfect Binder
The new perfect binder produces in-line cover-bound books in a maximum book thickness of 40 millimeters (1.5 inches) (about 350 sheets of 20# paper), in 212 x 275 millimeters (8.5 x 11 inches) and A4 sizes. It accepts a variety of cover types, including glossy paper and cutout or transparent front covers.

The Digimaster 9110 Network Imaging System uses powerful high-definition im-aging technology to deliver documents with fine text and rich graphics at 600 x 600 dots per inch, at a rate of 110 images per minute. Designed to meet the workflow needs of on-demand printing and duplicating, it employs an open archi-tecture that allows it to be easily integrated into networks.
