The Original Heidelberg 26 x 38 cm (10.24 x 14.96 in) press was the "bread and butter press" of the then Schnellpressenfabrik AG Heidelberg. The Tiegel (platen) press was operated as a letterpress and manufactured at the Wiesloch-Walldorf plant of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG until 1985.
