Stitchmaster ST 450
Stitchmaster ST 450 - the creative saddlestitcher.
- Vertical or horizontal feeder. A vertical or horizontal feeder configuration is possible. Mobile feeders result in exceptional flexibility. Safety grippers deliver reliability in production and high productivity.
- Saddle chain. With its own drive, the saddle chain ensures smooth operation and optimizes the processing of signatures at higher speeds.
- Cover folder feeder. The cover folder feeder offers the ultimate in high-precision folding, even with the smallest of formats down to 120 x 105 millimeters (4.72 x 4.13 inches).
- Monitoring devices between feeder and stitcher. Lateral thickness and length monitoring and optional width monitoring are used for quality assurance purposes in the stitcher.
- Control system. The ergonomically designed touchscreen display with graphic user interface and self-explanatory symbols is based on the tried-and-tested Heidelberg operating concept.
- Stitcher. Products are stitched while passing through the stitcher for high productivity. The clinchers are easy to adjust. Good access is ensured at all times and the front saddle chain does not get in the way.
- Heidelberg stitching heads. The high-quality materials used for the Heidelberg stitching heads on the Stitchmaster ST 450 minimize wear.
- Trimmer. The conveyors remain stationary during cutting, enabling the trimmer to ensure high precision and excellent product quality. There is a central trim attachment for two-ups and a triple cut attachment for three-ups. A small-format transfer device opens up further production options.
- Compensating stacker. Even at high production speeds, the compensating stacker ensures reliable delivery and precise stacking of small/special formats and multiple-ups.
- Case packer. This inline case packing unit adds the finishing touch to the process chain. It can fill up to 300 cartons per hour.
